STACKRACK has launched a rugged 1.5U 19" half rackmount server, THOR200 (Compliant to MIL-STD-810G) powered by Intel®5th generation Broadwell Core i7-5650U (2 Core x 2.2/3.2GHz) and Nvidia GT730M (CUDA 384, Clock speed 719MHz) that generates excellent resolutions by its extraordinary graphic performance. Although THOR200 features a completely sealed enclosure with M12 connectors for the I/O interfaces and is compliant to IP65, it is able to maintain CPU and GPU full speed at extreme temperatures by the conduction cooling method developed by STACKRACK. STACKRACK is specialized in developing computers that are highly ruggedized and support wide range extended temperatures, and THOR200 too supports extreme temperatures from -40 to +70°C. In addition, the thinness and minimized width of 1.5U 19" half grants high mobility and flexibility to users, especially being stored in a 19 width transit rackmount case. This complete rugged system powered by Nvidia GT730M can be utilized for navigation, radar, detection, censor, laser systems on all maritime, ground, and aerial applications in both defense and industrial fields by its maximized ruggedness, minimized size and graphic performance.

Mobility & Flexibility of 1.5U 19" Half

In a modern battle field, mobility and flexibility are considered as upmost priority for a battle in any places, and these key factors critically influence on subsequent battle situations. Typically, rackmount servers are designed as 19" width system, but THOR200, because of its 19" half-solution (220 mm), a number of THOR200s is able to be stored in a transit rackmount case and easily carried by personnel in a battle field. For instance, total numbers of 4 THOR200s can be stored in one 3U rackmount case, which gives high mobility for transporting. The feature of 19" half size also gives a great flexibility on integration and unlimited configurations by unifying multiple rackmount servers in one transit rackmount case. The composition with wide varieties of systems (hub switches, data recorders, radars, sensor, detection systems and other subsystems) can easily be done, and it supports maximum expansion in its total functionality for an application. Also, this system is applied a special thermal design "dual-sided thermal dissipation" developed by STACKRACK. This design helps to dissipate heats from both bottom (heat from GPU) and upper (heat from CPU) sides and gives flexibility on an installation (The system can be held both vertically and horizontally). This great mobility and flexibility of THOR200 can vastly enhance a quality of overall maneuvers in a battle field.

Evidence behind the True Ruggedness: MIL-STD-810G & IP65

Military operations mostly take place in harsh environments where exist continual vibration, intense shock, extreme heat, heavy storms, and tremendous snowfalls, and rugged computers must withstand such harsh conditions. For utmost reliability, THOR200 is designed to meet and tested for the demand of MIL-STD-810G; anti-shock and vibration, wide range extended temperature from -40 to +70°C. Also, it is a dust/water ingress rackmount server classified IP65 by the unification of the sealed enclosure and Amphenol M12 connectors. The system was tested at certain institutions and revealed high resistance from shock and vibration, extreme temperatures, and total protection against dust ingress and water jets from various directions.
